These terms and conditions are binding on both parties after the customer has paid GoBananas Finland Oy the advance payment specified in the terms and conditions or the advance payment and the final payment in one payment.
Making a reservation and payment
The person making the reservation must be of legal age (18 years or older) at the time of making the reservation.
The holiday destination will not be made available to the customer if all persons going to and staying at the holiday destination are minors (under 18 years of age).
Reservations can be made online, and a confirmation of the reservation will be sent to the customer’s email address immediately.
The minimum deposit (20% of the holiday rental) must be paid within 7 days of booking.
The final invoice will be sent to the customer’s e-mail address on the working day following the booking.
The customer can also pay the full amount of the reservation immediately, in which case a confirmation with details of the property will be sent to the customer’s e-mail address.
The booking is confirmed when the customer has paid the deposit (20% of the holiday rental) by the due date or the full amount of the booking in one payment.
The final invoice is payable no later than six (6) weeks before the start of the holiday.
The deposit can be paid either immediately at the time of booking, or within 7 days with the information on the invoice.
The final invoice is due 6 weeks before the start of the holiday.
If the start date of the reservation is 27 days or less, the full amount will be paid at the time of booking.
If the customer fails to pay on time, Wanha koulu Tahkovuori may cancel the reservation without notice.
Cancellation and modification of a reservation
Cancellations must always be made by email to jani@wanhakoulu.fi.
Cancellation is considered to have taken place at the moment the cancellation is received by the Wanha Schule.
Cancellations made outside office hours (Mon-Fri 8.30-17, Sat 10-18) will be deemed to have been made on the next office day.
If you cancel your booking, the deposit (20% of the holiday rental) will not be refunded.
If the booking is cancelled for any reason other than those listed below, later than 28 days before or during the rental period, no refund will be made.
If the customer changes the booking (destination, date of holiday, additional services or number of persons), Wanha Schule is entitled to charge 40 euros as a change fee.
The change must be made at least six (6) weeks before the start of the booking period.
Changes made after this date will be considered as a cancellation of the previous booking and a new booking.
If the holiday is not taken up or is taken up late, the customer is not entitled to a refund.
If you cancel your booking and leave before the end of the rental period, you will not be reimbursed for the unused period and will not be entitled to a refund.
Cancellations due to travel restrictions caused by a global or local COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic or pandemic, or the customer’s own decision not to use the reservation or to suspend it, do not constitute force majeure.
If a booking is cancelled less than 28 days before or during the rental period due to the client being unable to arrive at the accommodation at the time of booking because of travel restrictions imposed by the country of origin of the client or by Finland as the country where the accommodation is located due to an epidemic or pandemic, no refund will be made.
If the customer cancels the booking less than 28 days before or during the rental period, in the absence of sudden illness, accident or death of the customer or a close relative of the customer which compellingly prevents departure or causes an interruption, no refund will be made.
Travel restrictions or the customer’s own decision not to use his/her booking or to suspend the booking without the above mentioned reasons do not constitute a Force Majeure situation, as international/national travel restrictions imposed in the event of an epidemic/pandemic are not unforeseeable.
By booking a cottage, the customer understands and agrees that cancellation and no-show will be subject to the terms and conditions set out above.
In the event of a pandemic/epidemic, the cottage is subject to the normal booking and cancellation conditions of GoBananas Finland Oy.
The above also applies in the event that the client is unable to reach Finland due to flight cancellations or changes in schedules.
When booking the accommodation, the customer is aware that airlines may cancel and change their schedules due to an epidemic or pandemic and that this is not a case of force majeure, as it is not an unforeseeable situation.
Wanha koulun’s right to cancel your booking
In case of force majeure, the Old School may cancel the reservation.
In this case, the customer is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid to the Old School.
If the booking has to be cancelled due to disruptive behaviour by the client or a guest of the client, the fees will not be refunded.
